Airport

The closest and easiest airport is the San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD). It is about a 20 minute drive from the airport to the hotel.

Transportation

There are a number of ways to get around Los Cabos, depending on how far you’d like to venture from the hotel.

SHUTTLE BUSSES

If your plan is to spend most of your time at the hotel, this is likely the easiest route for you. Cabo Azul can assist you with scheduling a roundtrip shuttle service to get you to and from the airport. Please email the concierge desk at caboazulresorts@diamondresorts.com to request a booking. Must be done no later than 48 hours prior to arrival. Please include first and last names, hotel reservation number, and arrival and departure times.

RENTAL CARS

If you’d like to get out and take some day trips to nearby cities/beaches, a rental car is the best choice. All of the major rental brands are available at SJD airport if you have a preferred one. We like Cactus Car, which is a local rental service. Starts at $40/day and goes to $180/day for larger vehicles. They’re super nice, friendly, and easy to work with. Visit their website to reserve your rental ahead of time. Cabo Azul also offers complimentary valet parking.

UBERS/TAXIS

If you’d like to do a bit of exploring in downtown San Jose del Cabo, an Uber or taxi is your best bet. There are plenty of Ubers available in Los Cabos. Order one just like you would in the states. If you’d like to have a local taxi service pick you up, you can ask the hotel concierge to order a taxi for you.

ON FOOT

There are a number of bars and restaurants across the street from the hotel. Downtown San Jose is accessible by foot, but it’s about 25-30 minutes walking time. There are plenty of small shopping centers and restaurants along the way!
